Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 July 2026

This policy explains what SatyaBoard collects when you use the website, the app and the browser extension, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We collect what the product needs to work, and no more.

What we collect

Account information

Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile details that sign-in returns, such as your name and avatar. During onboarding we also ask for your name, your company and your team size.

Your content

The boards you build and everything on them: cards, notes, uploads, links you add, imported pages and ads, transcripts of the videos you bring in, and your conversations with Satya.

Connected accounts

When you connect an integration, we store the access tokens needed to keep the connection working, and the data you ask us to fetch from it. You can disconnect an integration at any time.

Usage and technical data

Log and device data such as IP address, browser and operating system, plus product events — which features are used, when, and how many credits a request spent. We use this to run, secure and improve the service.

Billing data

Your plan, subscription status and payment history. Payments are processed by our payment provider; card numbers go to them, not to us, and we never see or store them.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and hold boards made while signed out. Boards made without an account live only in that browser — clearing site data deletes them, and they never reach our servers.

How we use it

  • To provide the product: saving boards, syncing them, and answering what you ask Satya.
  • To fetch and process the sources you connect or import.
  • To manage your account, plan, credits and billing.
  • To answer support requests.
  • To keep the service secure — detecting abuse, fraud and attempts to get around limits.
  • To understand how the product is used, so we can fix and improve it.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, ours is: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the product, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with the law.

AI processing

When you ask Satya something, the parts of your board that the question needs — the cards you have connected, and the sources behind them — are sent to third-party AI model providers so an answer can be generated. They process that content to return a result, under their own API terms.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is needed to run the product:

  • Service providers — hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, error monitoring and analytics, working on our instructions.
  • AI model providers — as described above.
  • Our payment provider — to take payment and manage subscriptions.
  • Integrations you connect — the services you explicitly link to your account, governed by their own policies.
  • Authorities — where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or the safety of others.
  • A successor — if the service is ever transferred to another owner, under the same protections as this policy.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Account data and your content are kept while your account is open. Ask us to delete your account and we delete your boards and content, with residual copies clearing from backups shortly after. We keep what we have to for legal reasons — billing records, for example — for as long as the law requires, and usage logs for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is limited to those who need it, and connected-account tokens are stored so they are not readable by other users. No service can promise perfect security, but if a breach affects your data we will act on it and notify you where the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your account and its content;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • export your data — the app's export tools do this directly;
  • withdraw consent you have given, without affecting past processing.

Email hello@satyaboard.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

SatyaBoard is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page as the product changes. The revision date at the top always shows the current version, and we will give notice of material changes.
